If there is one German dish you try, it has to be this chicken fricassee!
You start off by melting some butter in a pot. Then sauté one diced onion for about 2 minutes.
Next, add some flour to the pot and stir everything until the butter and flour are combined. Pour some chicken broth into the pot, stir, then add some heavy cream.
Now add in two chicken breasts, one bay leaf, cover the pot, and let everything simmer for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, add in some diced carrots, sliced mushrooms, and frozen peas. Stir everything, then cover the pot and let everything simmer for 10 more minutes.
Next, you take out the chicken breast, cut it into bite-sized pieces, and add it back to the chicken fricassee.
Now you can take out the bay leaf, add some lemon juice, season with salt and pepper, and stir everything.
Serve the chicken fricassee with white rice, add some chopped parsley, and enjoy!
