Ingredients

Stir Fry Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or avocado oil
  • 1 yellow onion cut into slices
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 2 carrots cut into matchsticks
  • ½ red bell pepper cut into slices
  • 12 ounces Chinese-style noodles
  • 2 green onions cut into 5-inch pieces, light parts halved
  • sesame seeds (optional) for garnish

Stir Fry Sauce Ingredients

  • ¼ cup dark soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon gochugaru (Korean red chili flakes) or other chili flakes more to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients. Then set the stir fry sauce aside.
  • Preheat some oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Sauté the onion, garlic, and ginger until the onion turns translucent. Then add the beef and sauté until it browns.
  • Next, add the cabbage, carrots, and red bell pepper. Sauté for 1-2 minutes. Then add the green onions and sauté until the vegetables are almost tender.
  • While you sauté the vegetables, cook the noodles in boiling water until al dente. Then drain and set aside.
  • Transfer the noodles to the pan. Pour the sauce over the noodles and toss until combined. Add more chili flakes to taste.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and enjoy!
